Newly promoted Betway Premiership outfit Milford FC has officially invited aspiring young footballers in the Richards Bay and greater King Cetshwayo District to turn out in numbers for their upcoming DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) trials this Sunday.
The trials will take place at the Empangeni Rugby Club on Sunday, targeting talented young players aged between 16 and 19 (born between 2007 and 2010).
Trial Requirements
The club has strictly instructed all trialists to come fully prepared. Prospective players must bring the following items to the venue:
-
An official South African Identity Document (ID Book / Smart Card) or Birth Certificate
-
Full training kit and soccer boots
-
Personal refreshments (water or juice) and packed lunch
Moving Into the Elite Tier
Milford is rapidly putting their reserve team structures in place following their historic promotion to the top flight of South African football last week.
The club secured their spot in the elite league after grinding out a hard-fought draw against Magesi FC in the PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoffs at the Seshego Stadium.
As part of their entry package into the lucrative Betway Premiership, the club will benefit from the Premier Soccer League’s major financial grants.
Consequently, they are now mandated to field a competitive reserve squad in the DStv Diski Challenge league next season.
