Ahead of the club’s high-stakes clash against Magesi FC in the PSL Promotion Playoffs on Wednesday, Milford FC has delivered some excellent news to its supporters off the pitch.
The club officially confirmed a two-year extension of its technical kit partnership with Veechio. The freshly inked agreement ensures that the sports apparel brand will continue to outfit the team until 2028.
Club officials finalized the contract extension at the Nelson Mandela Boulevard hotel, where both parties reflected on their shared journey at the exact venue where initial partnership talks launched a year ago.
This commercial stability provides a timely boost as Milford prepares to host Magesi at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex on Wednesday afternoon. The home side enters the fixture aiming to reclaim the summit of the playoff mini-league.
Magesi FC currently occupies the top spot after dismantling Cape Town City 2-0 at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday.
However, the race for promotion remains incredibly tight. Milford—who captured national attention earlier this year during a brilliant run to the Nedbank Cup semifinals—narrowly defeated Cape Town City 1-0 in the playoff opener.
As it stands, both Milford and Magesi sit tied on three points after one match each, while Cape Town City languishes at the bottom of the standings with zero points from their two outings.
With only one team earning promotion to the top flight, Tuesday’s showdown in Richards Bay is officially a must-win territory.
