Newly promoted Milford has officially commenced preparations for the 2026/27 campaign as they gear up for life in the top-flight Betway Premiership.
Affectionately known as “The Stallions,” the KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit reported back for mandatory medical assessments on Tuesday.
The return follows a brief off-season break granted after their dramatic promotion via the playoffs last month.
Recognizing the massive step up in competitive quality, the club actively dipped into the transfer market a few weeks ago. Management secured several key signings to bolster squad depth and handle the grueling demands of the elite league.
The new arrivals reinforcing the squad include:
-
Sanele Mthembu – Goalkeeper (Umkhambathi FC)
-
Thabang Mabena – Forward (Black Leopards)
-
Nomandela Yanelisa – Midfielder (Highbury FC)
-
Mnqobi Mbhele – Center-back (Sinenkani FC)
Milford’s new signings and overall squad fitness will face an immediate litmus test at the KZN Premier’s Cup later this month.
The official draw for the traditional pre-season tournament takes place this Thursday.
