Milford FC goalkeeper Sphamandla Hleza has been nominated for the Motsepe Foundation Championship Goalkeeper of the Season award.
The nomination was announced by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) on Friday as it unveiled the nominees for the 2025/26 season awards.
Hleza will compete for the accolade alongside Malcolm Jacobs of Venda Football Club and Cape Town City’s Mickey van der Hart.
The Milford shot-stopper played a pivotal role in the Stallions securing promotion to the Betway Premiership through the promotion/relegation playoffs.
Hleza also made a significant contribution to Milford’s impressive Nedbank Cup run, helping the club reach the semi-finals before TS Galaxy eliminated them.
Motsepe Foundation Players’ Player of the Season: Nominations and voting conducted exclusively by Motsepe Foundation Championship players. Each club was allowed a maximum of 30 votes, with the provision that no player could nominate or vote for their own teammate.
The PSL award ceremony will take place on 27 July.
